T-Series Intermittent Seam Cover for Limited Widths

Application of Series T Expansion Joint Cover Profiles

Agor Company’s Series T profiles can be used for covering expansion and seismic joints with a limited width of up to 5 centimeters. These profiles can be installed in both floors and walls, and in all flush and corner positions.
The profiles in this group are manufactured in two types: simple (surface-mounted) and flush (recessed), which can be installed alongside any type of final finishing.
The structure of these profiles features a foldable, flexible central rubber component, designed to allow for the necessary movement during seismic activity of the structure without damaging the profile.

Comparison of Series T Models

This table introduces and compares four models (TB, TBC, TZ, TZC) from “Series T”. Their specifications include model, installation location, space type, position, environmental conditions, installation method, load capacity, and joint width (cm). Series T appears to focus on specific applications with a fixed joint width.

Key Points from the Table Analysis:

  • Fixed and Small Joint Width: All Series T models have a fixed joint width of 5 centimeters. This feature indicates that this product series is designed for covering joints with smaller widths.
  • Multi-Purpose Use (Floor/Wall): All four models can be installed in both floors and walls and are suitable for interior and exterior spaces. This flexibility significantly expands the application range of this series.
  • Moisture Resistance: All models are suitable for dry and humid environments, making them ideal for use in areas like bathrooms, kitchens, or outdoor spaces exposed to moisture.
  • Differences in Installation Method and Load Capacity:
    • TB and TBC Models: These models have a surface-mounted installation method and a “high” load capacity. TB is designed for flush positions and TBC for corner positions. This indicates that these two models are suitable for joints requiring surface coverage and high load bearing (such as joints on floors or walls subject to impact or pressure).
    • TZ and TZC Models: These models have a recessed installation method and a “medium” load capacity. TZ is designed for flush positions and TZC for corner positions. The recessed installation method means they are installed flush with the surrounding surface, which can be suitable for aesthetics and avoiding tripping hazards. The medium load capacity also makes them suitable for applications that do not require very high load bearing.
  • Corner Models: The existence of TBC and TZC models specifically for “corner” positions indicates a specialized design for covering joints in angles and corners, which standard joint seals often do not cover well.

Overall, Series T offers products with a small joint width and the ability for installation in both floors and walls. The main differences between models are in the installation method (surface-mounted vs. recessed) and load capacity (high vs. medium), allowing users to make an appropriate choice based on the specific needs of their project (e.g., need for higher load bearing or aesthetic preference for a flush finish). Furthermore, attention to corner models is important for precise coverage in angles.
